Roots ca. 10 mm thick. Pseudobulbs ellipsoid, 2 cm long, 1 cm wide, usually obscured by leaf sheaths and membranaceous scales.
Leaves 6-10 on each pseudobulb, linear, 40-65 cm long, 8-10 mm wide, apex acute, base cuneate, thinly coriaceous, distinctly serrulate, with 3 main veins elevated on lower surface.
Peduncle erect, 20-30 cm tall; rachis ca. 7 cm long; bracts linear lanceolate, 3-3.5 cm long, 6 mm wide; pedicel and ovary 2.6-3.2 cm long. Flowers 2-4(-5), pale green or whitish, fragrant; sepals oblong, or oblong-lanceolate, 3.2-3.8 cm long, 7-8 mm wide, acute, more or less twisted; petals ovate-lanceolate or elliptic, 2.5-3 cm long, 1 cm wide, apex acute, with reddish area near base; lip ovate to elliptic, 3-lobed, 1.8-2 cm long, 1 cm wide, fleshy, lateral lobes erect, semioblong, with numerous transverse short red lines, midlobe ovate, reflexed, with red-brown spots, disc broadly 2-keeled; column yellowish white, slightly curved, 1.4 cm long, with many reddish spots on ventral side; anther rounded opercular, yellow; pollinia 4, attached to crescent-shaped viscidium.
